Insight Into My Mother's Obliviously Happy World

Conversation with my parents while looking at a bird in a nest this weekend:

Mom: Oh look at its little head! It looks like a kitten!
Me/My dad: Kittens aren't in nests.
Mom, ignoring us: Look at its markings! It looks like a Panda!
Us: We guarantee it is not a Panda ...in a nest.
Mom, still ignoring us: Just look at its little head though! It looks like a monkey!
Us: I think its time to teach you which animals build nests.....
